This page is about drinklytics.app, the website. The Android app doesn't use cookies, because apps don't work that way, so what it collects is described in the app privacy notice instead.

A small text file a website leaves on your device so it can recognise your browser on a later visit. Some are needed for a site to work; most, including two of the three below, exist to count visitors.
| Cookie | Set by | What for | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| user_consent | This site | Remembers whether you accepted or declined, so the banner stops asking | 1 year |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells returning visits apart from new ones, anonymously | 2 years |
| _ga_Z2RMGGVHRH | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of a single visit | 2 years |
The two Google Analytics cookies are only set if you agreed in the banner. Decline, or ignore it, and they are never created. The user_consent cookie is set either way, because remembering your answer is the only way not to ask again.
Umami also counts visits on this site and sets no cookies at all. It is used precisely because it can measure how many people stop by without leaving anything on your device, which is why it runs whatever you answer in the banner.
Delete the user_consent cookie in your browser settings and the banner will ask again on your next visit. You can also block or delete cookies entirely from your browser. Nothing on this site will break, because none of these cookies are needed for it to work.
If the cookies change, so does the list above and the date at the top of this section.
